About Our Client
Our client is a large, well-established Belgian organization operating in a structured and socially dynamic environment. The HR team plays a key role in supporting business performance, ensuring legal compliance, and managing constructive dialogue with unions and internal stakeholders.
You will join the HR department, within the team focused on HR regulation and negotiations with unions, and work closely with the department manager, HR teams, operational leadership, and the legal employer entity.
Job Description
- Act as a key advisor on HR legal and regulation topics within a complex Belgian environment
- Analyze existing HR regulations and proposed changes, and assess their impact on operations, workforce, processes and budgets
- Formulate pragmatic and actionable recommendations aligned with Belgian labour law and internal policies
- Support operational departments in transformation projects (e.g. reorganizations, workforce redeployments) by translating business needs into compliant HR frameworks
- Contribute to the preparation of social dialogue by structuring documentation, coordinating stakeholders and organizing preparatory meetings (non-negotiator role)
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, centres of expertise and external stakeholders to ensure consistency of HR regulations
- Act as a reference point for HR regulation topics across the organization
- Ensure a strategic and analytical approach, without involvement in individual employee cases
The Successful Applicant
Technical Skills
- Master's degree in Belgian Law.
- Strong experience in Employment Law.
- Solid understanding of social dialogue mechanisms (preparation, structure, stakeholders)
- Experience in complex, unionized environments is a strong asset
- Knowledge of public law / public sector environment is a plus
- SAP HR knowledge is a plus.
