Senior Network Engineer

pWe are looking for a bSenior Network Engineer /b to join a network team responsible for the deployment, security, maintenance and operations of critical network infrastructure across industrial (OT) and corporate (IT) environments. /p pThe infrastructure supports 24/7 business operations across Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland. /p pThe team manages network connectivity from LAN and WAN to data centres and cloud environments, primarily using Cisco technologies. /p pThe role involves supporting infrastructure modernization, cloud connectivity, new data centre deployments and ongoing network operations. /p pThe mission is based between Brussels and Anderlecht, Belgium, for an initial period of 12 months, renewable, with an immediate start. /p pFull-time on-site presence is required during the first three months. Afterwards, hybrid working may be possible, with three on-site days per week, subject to operational requirements. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liOperate and maintain network infrastructure supporting 24/7 business operations. /li liSupport both IT and OT network environments. /li liPrepare and execute network changes with particular attention to operational continuity. /li liParticipate in the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure and network systems. /li liSupport colleagues and operational teams across Belgium and other European locations. /li liManage and troubleshoot routing, switching and wireless networking technologies. /li liContribute to network infrastructure projects involving data centres, cloud connectivity and WAN modernization. /li liCollaborate with other ICT teams to support evolving business and application requirements. /li liParticipate in an on‑call standby rotation of up to one week in four. /li /ul h3Must have /h3 ul liSenior‑level experience in network engineering and operations. /li liIn‑depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, IS‑IS, MP‑BGP and MST. /li liExperience with Cisco Wireless technologies. /li liStrong experience with cloud technologies. /li liExperience using Python and/or Ansible for network automation. /li liKnowledge of network monitoring, Network Access Control (NAC) and centralized syslog solutions. /li liKnowledge of Cisco ACI or Cisco SD‑WAN. /li liUnderstanding of firewall technologies. /li liBackground in computer science. /li liProficiency in Dutch or French and fluency in English. /li liAbility to work independently and collaboratively within technical teams. /li liWillingness to work across the Brussels and Anderlecht locations. /li liOwn car and ability to travel to Belgian company sites when required. /li liWillingness to participate in an on‑call standby rotation. /li liAvailability to work full‑time on‑site during the first three months. /li /ul h3Should have /h3 ul liExperience operating network infrastructure in 24/7 environments. /li liExperience working across both IT and OT environments. /li liFamiliarity with Cisco ASR, ISR, Catalyst and Nexus devices. /li liExperience with Microsoft Azure networking environments. /li liUnderstanding of Check Point and Palo Alto firewall technologies. /li liStrong change preparation and execution practices. /li liGood communication skills, teamwork and a proactive approach to supporting colleagues. /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liKnowledge of TACACS and RADIUS servers. /li liExperience with Zabbix monitoring. /li liExperience with Elastic for centralized logging and analysis. /li liFamiliarity with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). /li /ul h3Who we are /h3 pCommunity Consulting goes beyond traditional consulting; it’s all about fostering connections in an atmosphere of trust and confidence.br/bTransparency Honesty /b : We say things as they are.
