Lead System Engineer

pOur client is looking for an experienced bLead System Engineer /b who combines strong technical expertise with natural leadership skills. /ppIn this role, you will lead and coach a team of b8 System Engineers /b, while remaining actively involved in technical operations, customer projects and complex IT challenges. /ppThis is not a traditional management position. You will spend most of your time working hands‑on with IT infrastructure, supporting customers and helping your team solve technical challenges. Your mission is to strengthen the team, introduce new technologies and continuously improve the quality of IT services. /ph3Your Responsibilities /h3h3Technical Leadership Team Development /h3ulliLead, coach and support a team of 8 System Engineers. /liliAct as the team's technical reference point for complex infrastructure and security challenges. /liliEncourage knowledge sharing, collaboration and a positive team culture. /liliIntroduce new technologies, best practices and innovative IT solutions. /liliSupport your colleagues in finding practical solutions to technical and operational challenges. /liliFocus on people leadership and technical guidance. Operational scheduling is handled by a dedicated dispatcher. /li /ulh3Hands‑on IT Infrastructure Security /h3ulliRemain actively involved in IT installations, configurations, maintenance and troubleshooting. /liliWork across a broad infrastructure environment, including servers, networking, Microsoft 365, cloud solutions, workstations, printing and POS systems. /liliImplement and maintain secure IT environments, including firewalls, network security and cybersecurity solutions. /liliTake ownership of complex technical issues and support your team when additional expertise is required. /liliIdentify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, reliability and security. /li /ulh3Customer Advisory Technical Projects /h3ulliAct as a trusted technical advisor for customers. /liliAnalyse existing IT environments and proactively recommend improvements or additional solutions. /liliCombine technical expertise with a commercial mindset to identify customer needs and opportunities. /liliSupport technical implementations and ensure high‑quality service delivery. /liliBuild strong, long‑term customer relationships through clear communication and practical advice. /li /ulh3Your Profile /h3ulliSenior System Engineer: You have solid hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration and cybersecurity. /liliProven leadership

experience:
You have experience leading, mentoring or technically coordinating engineers and know how to motivate and bring a team together. /liliBroad technical expertise: You are comfortable with Microsoft environments, cloud technologies, networking, hardware and security solutions. /liliSecurity‑minded: You have strong cybersecurity knowledge. Experience with SonicWall is an advantage, but not required. /liliHands‑on mentality: You enjoy solving technical problems and are willing to step in whenever your team or customers need support. /liliStrong people
