Job Description

As a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will join the engineering organization of a major player in pharmaceutical manufacturing, taking full ownership of complex engineering and CAPEX projects.

This is not a standard project coordination role: it requires a strong combination of project management, engineering and manufacturing expertise, together with the seniority, leadership and presence needed to drive multidisciplinary teams and interact effectively with Site Leadership.

We're looking for someone who combines technical depth, financial ownership and real influencing power to turn complex industrial initiatives into successful, compliant outcomes.

The Role & Responsibilities

Reporting into the site's engineering leadership and interacting closely with Site Leadership, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading engineering and CAPEX projects from concept and scope definition through execution, commissioning, qualification and handover
• Defining project strategy, scope, planning, resources and budget
• Taking ownership of CAPEX, forecasts, costs, risks and timelines
• Building, presenting and defending budgets, investment proposals and project recommendations to the Site Leadership Team (SLT)
• Leading and aligning multidisciplinary stakeholders across Engineering, Production, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, EHS and Procurement
• Challenging technical and operational options and driving decisions toward pragmatic and sustainable solutions
• Managing engineering partners, suppliers and contractors
• Anticipating and mitigating technical, operational, financial and planning risks
• Ensuring compliance with GMP, safety and site engineering standards
• Providing clear project governance, communication and escalation to senior management.

Skills & Qualifications

• You have a Senior Engineering / Project Management profile, ideally with minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or another regulated manufacturing environment
• You have a proven track record in managing significant CAPEX and industrial engineering projects
• You have a strong understanding of manufacturing and production environments
• You have strong financial acumen and experience owning budgets and CAPEX
• You are comfortable presenting, challenging and defending recommendations at SLT / senior management level
• You bring strong leadership, charisma and influencing capabilities, including in matrix organizations without direct hierarchical authority
• You are able to challenge stakeholders, facilitate decisions and create alignment across functions
• You are autonomous, pragmatic, structured and solution-oriented, with strong communication and presentation skills
• You are fluent in both English and French
• Experience in aseptic manufacturing, Fill & Finish, cleanrooms, C&Q and/or validation is an asset, though not mandatory.
