Azure Cloud Architect

h3What you will do /h3pYou will be responsible for designing and guiding application optimisations, migrations, redesigns and phase-outs within Azure. Working closely with the enterprise architect, cloud engineers and suppliers, you will keep capex and opex costs under control while professionalising processes. /ppYour tasks include: /pulliManaging and optimising Azure cloud architecture and roadmaps /liliAdvising on landing zones, security, governance and compliance /liliDesigning a target architecture for the organisation /liliStandardising and documenting architecture principles /liliCollaborating with DevOps teams and suppliers for implementation /liliIdentifying new Azure developments and translating them into opportunities /li /ulpThis assignment is structured in phases. The first phase is estimated at 400 hours, with additional phases to be ordered optionally. /b /pulliAt least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Cloud Architect with a focus on Azure /liliAt least 3 years of demonstrable experience as a specialist architect in a specific domain (networking, security, server infrastructure, application architecture, ERP, ECM platforms, data warehouse and BI, etc.) or as an Enterprise Architect /liliThorough knowledge of Azure services, networking, security and automation /liliKnowledge and experience with modelling techniques (ArchiMate, TOGAF, UML, Sparx EA) /liliA hands-on mentality: you can support development teams and cloud teams with the necessary explanations /liliAbility to clarify where responsibilities lie and to follow up on them /liliBachelor's or Master's degree /liliAzure Administrator Associate certificate /liliFinOps Certified Practitioner certificate /liliDutch language skills at European CEFR level C2 /li /ulpbStrongly preferred: /b /pulliExperience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins) /liliKnowledge and experience of business processes in general /liliKnowledge and experience of various project management facets (costs, timing, coordination, planning, estimates) /liliKnowledge of all domains plus proven specialist architect in at least one specialist domain (infrastructure, application, security, data, process, etc.) /liliExperience with the guidelines within the Flemish government landscape (IK1-4) /liliMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certificate /li /ulpbNice to have: /b /pulliFamiliarity with Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework /li /ulh3The setting /h3pThe start date is mid-November 2026.
