This role is created to lead scientific data use cases, ensuring robust solutions with data. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our Scientific Data Platform aligns with business objectives, defining and delivering data solutions that accelerate drug development.As the BIS Scientific Data Lead, you will be part of the Scientific Data Environment team, responsible for data and analytics projects, serving solutions across drug development, ensuring the secure and compliant use of data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (argenx teams and external service providers) to drive innovation and business growth.The Scientific Data Environment hosts securely and collects all scientific data along the life of our molecules, products and the patients we serve. The platform also provides solutions to transform data into information and decision-ready knowledge. A non-exhaustive list of data types includes antibody profiles, omics data, biomarker data, digital endpoints, and safety data.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate to develop BIS Scientific Data strategy and implementation roadmap, aligned with business needs and prioritiesTranslate roadmap into pilots, proof of concepts, projects and adoption, with the emphasis on delivering value for argenx.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver timely, actionable analytics solutions tailored to business goals. Work in cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of data deliverables, maintaining alignment with project timelines and strategic objectives. Co-create with all stakeholders a data driven culture.Provide expert advice to business teams on public scientific assets, data models, management, and integration challenges, and promote scientific knowledge to BIS colleagues.Guide data integration and data modelling strategy for scientific assets.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the BIS R&D and beyond.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data, AI and related areas, and apply this knowledge to drive innovationEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :A Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical product development lifecycle and expertise in how data management and analytics can enhance scientific workflows.Strong knowledge in omics and discovery data (data management, analysis, standardization).Proficiency in scientific and biology databases, including external scientific databases and understanding of the pharmaceutical data landscape across drug development.Excellent communication skills in English (written, oral, and non-verbal).Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, initiative, and problem-solving ability in unstructured environments. Good understanding of current and emerging technology trends.Knowledge of biology and drug development, particularly related to antibodies, is beneficial.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.Experience with data product management and delivery.Expertise in ontologies, semantics, data mapping, and integration is advantageous.Experience with Data platforms, analytics platforms and tools is beneficial. Join us at argenx and be part of a collaborative and passionate team dedicated to advancing breakthrough therapies for patients in need.
