The Opportunity:
Avantor is on the lookout for a motivated In Vivo Lab Technician to join the team in Braine-l'Alleud . In this diverse position you'll provide scientific support to the In Vivo laboratories, and you'll take care of in vivo experiments. This is a full-time position based on the site of our customer, UCB Pharma, in Braine-l'Alleud. You get a temporary contract of six months, which becomes a permanent one after a positive evaluation. Next to an attractive salary, we offer multiple benefits including meal vouchers, 13th month, additional annual bonus, pension scheme, health insurance and more. Working hours: Monday – Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 and 09:00 and finish time as of 16:00
The team
You are part of a small, encouraging team and together with four colleagues, you belong to our department Lab and Production Services. This division of Avantor supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
What we're looking for
Education :
Masters or bachelor's in a scientific related field, such as Biology A Felasa B certificate is requiredExperience :
Depending on education, internship can be sufficientPreferred qualifications:
Excellent communication skills in English, and preferably good in French Good computer skills, in particular with MS Office Highly motivated, customer centric and detail oriented Independent, responsible, and flexible Pro-active, safety minded and friendlyHow you will thrive and create an impact
Take care of in vivo experiments and conduct manipulations on rats and/or mice Perform intravenous injections on rodents Take blood samples Aliquot solutions and biological materials Prepare buffers and reagents Aliquot, label and track reagents Handle biological samples Analyze an interpret test results and data Back-up activities: certificate management, sample management and order management#LI-Onsite
