Senior BI Specialist

We are offering an opportunity to join our Corporate Strategy Department as a Senior BI Specialist, where you will be responsible for conducting in-depth, data-driven analysis. We are looking for someone with a growth mindset, eager to learn in a dynamic environment and passionate about utilizing data and technologies like BigQuery, Tableau and/or PowerBI to derive insights and guide business decisions. Your role will include exploring Sortlist's data, presenting your findings to executive management, and playing a crucial role in driving our growth and advancing our product. What will be your responsibilities ? Business overview : Ownership : define key topics, uses cases to leverage data and enhance business. You will have the responsibility as well to design, create, and maintain business-critical dashboards and solutions on Tableau/PowerBI to track key metrics and influence data-driven decisions Investigation : conduct ad hoc exploratory analysis to identify novel insights based on the highest business priorities. Communication : present and communicate data and findings to different stakeholders using compelling narratives and visualizations Empowerment : devise strategies to increase data awareness and make analyses easily replicable by other team members. Growth : draw data-driven business insights to improve the company's strategy and growth. Technical overview : Data Analysis : Analyze data / insights for specific business cases. Data Visualization : Manage our data visualization tool (Tableau, PowerBI or equivalent). Data manipulation and analysis : Proficiency in SQL for querying databases, programming languages like Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis is a plus. Data Warehousing : Familiarity with data storage solutions (such as Google Big Query or Amazon Redshift) and architectures to organize and retrieve data efficiently. Critical thinking: Ability to interpret data results and think critically about the implications and limitations of data analysis. Your profile: A Master Degree in Management/Economics/Computer Science or in any other relevant field 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, with expertise in utilizing technologies like BigQuery and Tableau/PowerBI. You are used to work closely with Business and/or Marketing departments Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in SQL, including querying databases and extracting relevant information using BigQuery. Strong data visualization skills, with advanced knowledge of Tableau/PowerBI and other visualization tools. A great sense of leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset to undertake a successful project Demonstrated leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to undertake successful projects. Excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate results. Proven ability to thrive in both collaborative and independent work environments. Fluency in English, with knowledge of French being a plus. The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and a strong problem-solving ability.
