We are looking for an AWS Data Engineer with experience in building, monitoring and maintaining reliable and secure data solutions in AWS. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Business Consultants to deliver value to our clients. Your responsibilitiesBuild and maintain data infrastructure (e.g. ELT, generic data pipelines, interfaces between data products)Translate business needs into well-designed, maintainable data solutionsBalance cost, performance, and maintainability when designing new or improving on existing solutionsImplement production-ready solutions (e.g. deployment automation, monitoring, alerting)Stay up to date with developments in data technology and share your knowledge with your colleaguesCoach junior and medior data engineersYour qualificationsMust haveYou have at least 4 years of experience.Hands-on experience with implementing data solutions in AWS.You can build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, or AWS CloudFormation.Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker)Hands-on experience with networking, security, and access control in AWS.You can set up and maintain deployment automation pipelines and have day-to-day experience with Git (using GitHub, GitLab, or similar)You get energy from writing and maintaining clean, well-structured Python codeYou have contributed to production-grade deployments Nice to haveHands-on experience with data modeling (Kimball, Data Vault)Hands-on experience with container orchestration (ECS/AKS/GKE, Kubernetes)Strong analytical SQL skillsKnowledge of data warehousing best practicesHands-on experience with dbt LanguagesFluent in English, and Dutch or FrenchOur offerA highly entrepreneurial team;A no-nonsense working environment with a focus on high quality;Excellent terms of employment (including company car, fuel card, meal vouchers & bonus,...);Fringe benefits including continuous training that builds and extends professional, technical and management skills in all areas;The opportunity to grow together with Datashift in terms of capabilities as well as financial benefits;The chance to work on projects related to cutting-edge technologiesWith our offices in Mechelen, Leuven and Gent you can work from several locations.Interested?Are you the AWS Data Engineer we are looking for?
