About the role To stay ahead of the game, we keep innovating and growing our Meeting Experience (Clickshare) portfolio. In this context we are looking to grow our global architecture team. Key responsibilities You are responsible for the end-to-end software architecture of the ClickShare devices (embedded and application software on the “base unit” and “button”), in collaboration with the system architects in other locations, who are responsible for embedded software, cloud management software, desktop and mobile apps. Drive a software architectural vision of the product portfolio considering the market evolutions in hardware technology as well as the strategic dynamics in the market (serviceability & interoperability, technology roadmaps of eco-system partners,…) Stay up to date with latest technology in the domain of ClickShare and advise product management and product owners on best technical roadmap strategies to follow. Understand technologies by being hands-on and regularly implementing experiments, working on proofs-of-concept, reviewing code contributions of others, etc. Help the development teams and theirarchitectectural champions to make consistent architectural decisions when developing new features. Foster a culture where people think system-wide across software components and development locations. Skills and experience We are looking for a new colleague who: Experience with Android application development and best architectural practices, as well as experience with embedded Android or MDEP development. Has a Master's degree or Phd in Software engineering, or equivalent by experience. Has a can-do attitude and likes to be hands-on, regularly working on proofs-on-concept, experiments, prototypes, etc. Demonstrates a broad set of coding skills (Kotlin, C/C++, JavaScript, Python, Bash scripting…). Has a broad technical experience in the domains of algorithms, video processing, networking protocols. Understands security fundamentals (encryption, signatures, …) and their applications (secure boot, encrypted and signed upgrades, etc.). Has a strong learning mindset, actively tracking the latest technology development in the industry to enhance current architectures and build durable new ones. Has excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interaction skills, including ability to effectively communicate vision, trade-offs and concepts to multiple organization levels and executive management. Is fluent in both spoken and written English. Expertise on AI and data-engineering is a plus. Affinity with international development environmentsis a plus. Experience with large scale scrum environments (SAFe/LeSS, multiple scrum teams, multiple product owners, …)is a plus. A good understanding of embedded Linux and related build systems, such as Buildroot or Yocto is a plus. You don’t tick all the boxes but you see a good match with this role anyway?
