About the Business Intelligence Department
The Business Intelligence Department transforms data into actionable insights in order to support EG on strategic and tactical business decision making. About your role
The Data Analyst is responsible for development of reports, analysis of data and delivery of actionable recommendations in order to realize sales- and marketing successes and safeguard margins. You translate numbers into valuable insights for sales and marketing. You ask great questions to help your colleagues from all departments to make better decisions.
How you can make an impact
Your main responsibilities will be:
The collection and analysis of different types of financial and sales data for both routine and ad-hoc reports to track and predict any market changes or shifts from our customers The evaluation of existing and potential customers, markets and business opportunities The investigation and follow-up of economy trends, market changes and customer growth, competitor actions, key drivers for the pharmaceutical markets, etc. The development of new BI tools that support decision making on the long term and provide useful business insights Provide input for sales forecast while you account for sales actions, market changes, running campaigns and marketing actions The analysis of current discount strategies and the draft of proposals on how to improve them. You also need to follow-up on whether these discounts are applied correctly afterwards. Create dashboards or improve existing ones to bring more visibility on financial and sales dataWhat we are looking for

Master in Finance, economics, business management, trade engineer or equivalent by experience Experience as a business analyst in a commercial role is a must You love working with numbers and have an analytic mindset You have good communication skills and although you're very good in working autonomously, you are a real team player. Driven by results and excellence in the job, you have the attitude to make things happen. You are fluent in Dutch, French or English.
