Job Description

Job description

The candidate will be responsible for developing a data governance framework for

practical implementation; establishing the essential components for data

governance and guidance for how data citizens can begin their journey. The successful

candidate will work closely with Data Office colleagues to understand the current

landscape and maturity of data governance and to drive implementation and

uptake of the delivered toolkits, guidance and metrics.



Requirements

Key skills


• Strong understanding of data governance best practices and industry standards


• Experience developing policies, standards, and procedures related to data

governance


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Experience working in a regulated industry is a plus


• Experience in leading high priority change initiatives

Examples of deliverables


• A framework for data governance, setting out the essential components for data

governance


• Creating / curating toolkits to support the framework and provide guidance for

how data citizens can get started on their data governance journey, leveraging

existing material where possible.


• Assessment of gaps across policies and processes, as they relate to data

governance.


• A roadmap for delivery of each element / toolkit in the framework.


• Metrics to monitor data governance across the organisation.
