Overview We currently have a requirement for a Junior designer SDS (substations) to work on various projects for a client in the energy sector in the region of Brussels.PM Group is a leading International engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. Our Vision is to be a highly valued and creative delivery partner, building a more sustainable world with our clients.Our OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department supports projects in different sectors on basis of project staffing with consultants working at the client’s site. Responsibilities Tasks: The Junior Designer SDS (Substations) will be working within a team of experienced designers and electric engineers who will be there to help and support the modeller. Additionally, the Junior Modeller will receive training in the SDS application and, where required, other support applications important to carry out the work as required. Carry out general 3D modelling work in Substation Design Suite Migrate existing (Bentley technology) 3D models into new SDS templates and placing in the correct catalogue and file structure Identify and exchange legacy 3D objects in the converted plans and replace them by the respective SDS catalogue objects Complete the new 3D model with additional elements: place cables (“conductoren”) correctly in SDS model, complete the installation model with terrain, buildings and other objects, as indicated by the source plan Carry out quality control of the results and check additional quality factors, such as correct georeferencing in Lambert 2008 coordinates Produce and annotate 2D layouts for permit and engineering purposes Qualifications Qualifications:Good ability as industrial designer Some experience in or knowledge of TSO electric transport markets or companies Experience with CAD and 3D modelling applications Knowledge of Substation Design Suite, Bentley Open Utilities Substation and Autocad is a plus.
