CISCO Architect

BKM has been part of the ORANGE Belgium group since 2019 resulting in increasing activities in Cisco network solutions.We are looking for a Network Engineer with 10 years of experience in the design and configuration of critical Cisco LAN networks including routers, switches (campus and datacenter), wifi controllers, etc.The ideal candidate should have a very good understanding of corporate network infrastructures, the hardware components that constitute them, as well as the protocols used. The engineer will mainly perform network architect tasks in order to define the best design to set up new networks and / or to integrate new applications on existing networks.He/She will work in close collaboration with a team of network engineers responsible for the installation and support of the installed elements. The network architect will work with the support engineers to provide level 3 support and follow up on tickets to Cisco's TAC.Your responsibilities?Carry out the design of new data networks taking into account the requirements of our customersParticipate in the implementation of the solution with the support of an installation- and support teamDesign and implement new systems that improve overall securityApply security techniques to ensure that access controls, logging and auditing are adequate and effectiveSuggest improvements to the existing architectureCollaborate with support teams to conduct investigations, diagnose and resolve network issues.Your profile?You preferably have a university degree (Master) - or at least a Bachelor – in IT or telecommunicationsYou are very much interested in business network technologiesYou have at least a Cisco CCNP certificate in Routing / Switching and 10 years of experience in network design and configurationYou preferably have a Cisco CCIE Routing / Switching certificateYou have a good knowledge of Cisco business networks (LAN, Wifi, Security)You have a good knowledge of the protocols of layers 2 and 3 of the OSI modelYou are a good communicator and able to establish and maintain a relationship of trust with clientsYou are autonomous, methodical, structured and well organized allowing you to establish a work plan before starting a configurationYou speak and write French fluently and have a good written and spoken knowledge of English (knowledge of Dutch being a +)You are resistant to stressYou are flexible in terms of travel (in Belgium) and working hoursWhat can we offer?A strong salary package with the usual benefitsAn environment in which you can grow and find your challengesAn enthusiastic team of colleaguesInterested?Then we would like to hear from you If there's a match in the making, we'll invite you for a first interview
