Mission
As a VIE Junior Buyer, you will support the procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships for assigned product or service categories.
You will assist in implementing purchasing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement best practices.
Responsibilities
Assist in mapping and analyzing the assigned purchasing category, identifying sourcing solutions, and opportunities to create value for the company. Support the implementation of purchasing strategies, optimize procurement processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives. Help manage supplier relationships, including onboarding, performance evaluation, issue resolution, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions. Conduct supplier research, evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability, and support negotiations and drafting framework contracts under supervision. Contribute to preparing reports, tracking purchasing performance metrics, and monitoring contract performance. Adhere to company policies related to quality, safety, and environmental standards, and contribute to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives within procurement activities.Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree in purchasing, supply chain, business, or a related field. Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain (internships included). Languages: Proficiency in French and English; additional languages are a plus. Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of procurement principles and supplier management and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems. Soft Skills: Strong communication and negotiation abilities, analytical mindset with attention to detail, proactive and results-oriented approach and ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.The position is based in Brussels, Belgium.
