Tasks
As the Director Risk Management, you are responsible to manage our enterprise risk management framework and the related processes for the SD Worx group. Additionally, you are also acting as the leader/coach of the Business Continuity Manager that is overseeing our business continuity program, coaching and growing his skills and competences.
You're able to achieve that by working on the following major activities:
Enterprise risk management strategy
- Maintain and improve SD Worx's risk management strategy.
- Analysing emerging risks, best practices, and trends in the field of risk management and continuously update SD Worx's risk management strategy and processes.
- Ensure that regulatory requirements to report on risk related matters are incorporated into the risk management strategy.

Continuous improvement of our risk management practices
- Maintain and improve SD Worx's risk management policy and framework.
- Regularly assess and update our risk management processes and procedures.
- Keep up to date the SD Worx Risk Appetite Statement.
- Take ownership of the administration of the Risk Oversight module in SD Worx's GRC tool.
- Facilitate and challenge identification of potential risks that could affect the company's strategic goals and support management and risk owners in execution of risk assessments and creation of risk mitigation action plans.
- Monitor SD Worx's risk exposure and prepare and present risk reports, in line with regulatory requirements.
- Increase awareness and make available training on risk management principles and practices. Promote a culture of risk awareness within the organization.

Profile
Technical Competencies:
- Master's degree with more than 7 years of experience in the risk management field with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- You have deep, proven experience in risk management and in articulating risk management strategies and frameworks.
- You have expertise in process design and in continuously improving processes.
- You are capable of building strong relationships with risk owners and management to stimulate and influence them following risk management best practices and policies.
- You have experience and a good knowledge of common risk management frameworks such as ISO31000 and the COSO ERM framework.
- You are confident in being a critical friend and debating approaches and trade-offs in balancing business opportunities vs risks.
