Railway Safety Software Engineer

The railway safety software engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety of software and systems used in the railway domain, ensuring their compliance with safety standards and minimizing risks to passengers, staff, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Analysis: Evaluate risks associated with railway software and systems, identify potential hazards, and estimate their likelihood of occurrence.
Development of Safety Plans: Develop detailed safety plans for software and systems, including risk mitigation strategies and emergency procedures.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with railway safety standards and regulations, such as CENELEC standards and European Union directives.
Incident Analysis: Investigate incidents and accidents related to railway software and systems, and recommend corrective measures to prevent future incidents.
Safety Document Management: Maintain safety documents, including hazard logs, safety analyses, safety plans, and incident reports.
Required Skills
Degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Thorough knowledge of railway safety standards, risk analysis methodologies, and software quality assurance techniques. Practical experience in analyzing embedded software, control-command systems.
Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams in french & english.
