Accounting Associate Analyst

This role is a permanent position within the Statutory Accounting team. Team responsibilities include Statutory Reporting for Belgium and UK registered Companies, Regulatory Reporting in a wide range of jurisdictions, including Solvency II, Reinsurance Reporting, and Accounts Payable and general accounting relating to Belgium managed entities.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:Accounts payable**:
Processing of general supplier invoice payments (review of invoice details, review of invoice approval, entering payments into the payment system).
Allocation of general supplier invoices in the accounting purchase journal
Processing of employee expense payments in Concur/Oracle or the Cigna payments tool
Allocation of employee expenses in the accounting employee expense journal
Monthly, quarterly, and yearly preparation of Concur employee expense details for the payroll department
**Intercompany entries**:
Review and approval of the monthly intercompany recharges out in the Virtual Trader Oracle system
Review and approval of the monthly intercompany settlements in the Virtual Trader Oracle system
Assistance in the reconciliation process of Virtual Trader intercompany entries in Oracle with local books in Agresso
**Other**:
Work with Senior and Lead Analysts within the team to ensure audit deliverables are prepared and submitted in line with expectations
Cross train on specific areas of accounting and month end/quarter end procedures to ensure full succession planning and coverage can be achieved within the team
Support the existing team in preparing tax submissions
Key Skills and Knowledge
Experience Required
Good excel skills and some experience of Oracle or similar General Ledger packages would be advantageous.
Financial analysis skills with the ability to take the initiative in developing a strong understanding of the underlying business.
Strong reporting and analytical skills with ability to create and improve reporting packs and methodologies with some support.
Confidence to deal with internal stakeholders and ability to work with a cross functional team.
Ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Customer Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers, good at building effective relationships and gaining trust and respect.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
