**The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for**:
- Assists in the Billing and Collections of our customers and is confident to make recommendations supported by financial and well-founded judgment.
- Monitors customers’ accounts to ensure past due invoices are addressed and customers comply with payment terms.
- Responsible of identifying customer issues and to recommend potential resolutions and strategies.
- Contacts internal and external customers as required to gather details and provide resolutions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Partners with other departments to resolve and correct payment and billing issues.
- Provides support to internal and external customers to address billing issues and provide requested reports.
- Participates in the implementation of new or improved processes to ensure proper usage and adherence.
- This position interacts with both internal and external customers. Within UPS Capital the person will work closely with Europe Management, Customer Relations, Sales Group and Finance & Accounting colleagues based both in Europe and the US.
**Required Skills and Education**:
- Degree in Finance or Business Administration with strong financial/analytical background
- Structured: Good understanding of financial processes- Solves customer problems: Recognizes when customers are having issues; identifies resolution to customer issues and recommends solutions
- Fluent in English and German, other languages are an asset
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, good knowledge of Access and VBA is a plus
