Implementing real-time transcription during meetings, akin to Teletext functionality, could significantly enhance meeting accessibility and efficiency. This process involves capturing the meeting's audio, processing it through a speech-to-text machine learning model, and then displaying the transcribed text on the meeting platform. An extension of this feature could include live translation of the transcribed text, though this may introduce additional latency.
Alternatively, post-meeting transcription and translation could be employed to generate meeting notes. This approach allows for the incorporation of extra metadata, such as agenda items and documents, into the transcription process. The methodology consists of transcribing and translating the meeting audio into a detailed document, which is subsequently analyzed along with the supplementary metadata by a meeting note generation algorithm. This algorithm aims to succinctly summarize the meeting's content, making references to the metadata when applicable.
