To keep things simple let's see what you should expect from us.

You will work within a team composed of: product managers, designers, frontend and backend developers, devops engineers and QA engineers.

We have multiple **backend services** living in GitHub that are built using the following technologies when it comes to Ruby backends:

- Ruby on Rails 7 (latest version) API-only with e.g. ActiveRecord, ActiveInteraction, RSpec
- Puma
- PostgreSQL (main database for all apps)
- RabbitMQ (message propagation)
- Opensearch
- AWS Cognito (machine to machine authentication)
- Auth0 (end user authentication + single sign on)
- Docker (all apps are dockerized and run on kubernetes for our sandboxes and production)

**As a member of the dev team you will**:

- Work with other engineers or independently
- Provide support and enhancements for existing systems
- Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
- Ensure high code quality and keep dependencies up to date

**Mandatory skills**:

- 3+ years of experience in working with backend technologies
- Professional experience with** Ruby on Rails**:

- Experience working in an agile team using SCRUM, Shape Up or similar methodologies.
- Strong **SQL** experience
- Fluent in English
- Code quality, writing tests and documentation is something that you are familiar with

**Nice to have familiarity or experience with**:

- NodeJS, Golang or other Ruby libraries (Sinatra, Hanami)
- SOLID principles and other design patterns in your development process
- Other databases (Redis, ElasticSearch, NoSQL, etc.)
- Infrastructure knowledge (terraform, kubernetes, flux, aws cloud )
- A nice github portfolio, where you contributed to some open source project is a huge plus.
