Headit is looking for 2 Business Development Managers for the Air and Ocean Sales teams in Brussels and Antwerp.

What are your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager?
As a Business Development Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business. You will focus on acquiring new clients while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers. Your main tasks include:
- Identify and secure new clients, focusing on untapped opportunities in logistics services.
- Maximize potential within existing accounts through upselling and relationship management.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs to provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth client onboarding and handovers.
- Maintain an active pipeline, generate leads, and follow up efficiently, logging activities in the CRM.
- Drive results by achieving KPIs, including: Customer acquisition, growth of existing accounts, revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor client activity to address challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Report regularly on performance and contribute to strategic plans to exceed goals.
What do we expect from you as a Business Development Manager?
- At least 5 years of sales experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
- A hunter mentality, confident in prospecting and building new client relationships.
- Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, and communication.
- A results-oriented approach, with a focus on upselling and unlocking client potential.
- The ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Analytical capabilities to handle complex RFQs effectively.
- Fluency in English and Dutch (French is a plus).
- A flexible mindset and a commitment to going beyond a 9-to-5 schedule.
