**Missions et responsabilités** JOB SUMMARY**
The Plant Manager position is responsible for leading all aspects of site management and continuous improvement at the Chaineux manufacturing location. In support of the business strategy, the incumbent will deliver on the plant’s operational goals and objectives, and is responsible for managing the operations to achieve long and short term business objectives including EHS, growth, profitability, capital investment, cost reduction, quality and other operational objectives. Engineering, quality, finance, supply chain, HR and production report directly to the Plant Manager. The Plant Manager will lead and develop a dynamic workforce while increasing the meaningful contribution or Chaineux’ site and its population (white & blue collars). The Plant Manager will make a success of the coming site’s transformations towards the growing automotive market.
***SPECIFIC TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**
***In line with the business strategy and with respect to the local legal requirements and internal rules/ guidelines (internal control), the Plant Manager has the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Actively lead safety and environmental initiatives to achieve and maintain world class performance by fostering a culture which embraces the safety of everyone and a respect for our environment. Exhibits safety awareness and safe work practices. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements
- Provides strong direction with all departments to ensure policies and systems being used are efficient, effective, and in concert with business goals and philosophies. Coordinate production flow throughout the factory and adjusts capacities in conjunction with demand. Recommends and implements methods to increase the quality of products and/or services. Establishes strategic direction, department objectives, and provides leadership to achieve results with all responsible functions.
- Develop and implement a long term manufacturing plan and annual operating budget that is consistent with and supports the strategic plan of the business. Supports the development of the 5 years’ business plan including capital projects to support new products, drive efficiency and effectiveness as well as human resources initiatives to drive employee commitment and results.
- Lead and develop a strong site team that actively demonstrates their support and drives accountability of our global values, including, Helping, Accountability, Respect, Trust and Initiative. Demonstrate enthusiasm to create an environment where these values are practiced daily throughout the plant. Identify opportunities to develop and build effective and highly responsible teams of people.
- Integration of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and Lean, Six Sigma programs and development of quality systems to support the reduction of waste and drive the organization to zero defects.
- Responsible for quality control for site ISO and IATF standards.
- Actively lead “The Internal Control” with the local management team and make sure that the controls are done effectively and accordingly, and that the corrective actions are effectively put in place if necessary
- Others: expenses and budget responsibility at local level (site of Chaineux)
**Profil recherché** PRACTICAL/ TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE**
- Budgeting, Planning, Project Management - Excellent analytical skills, communications skills, and interpersonal skills
- Must have strong computer skills in a Windows environment, including Excel, Access and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of and understanding of IATF quality standards
- Well-developed organizational influence skills with the ability to work with people at all levels within the organization (incl. unions).
- Decides and takes calculated risk. Systematically retrieves information relevant to an issue to develop a decision or course of action.
- Pays lasting attention to the personal and professional development of each member of his/her team; Acts as an in-house coach to transfer the most complex know-how ensures potential is delivered faster and accelerates progress
- Promotes intercultural cooperation and within own entity encourages a corporate culture respecting cultural differences.
- Encourages and develops durable and balanced cooperation with his/her professional internal and external contacts; Displays great creativity in finding genuinely new solutions and having them tried out, assessed and deployed
- ilingual EN-FR is mandatory
- Bachelor/ or Master degree, with business/ industrial and manufacturing related fields, ie., engineering + minimum 5 years’ working experience in a similar function within an industrial and international environment.
