We’re looking for a _Demand Planning Team Lead_ to support our WoundCare business segment within the _**_DACH & BeNeLux_**_ regions_. This is a versatile, challenging and demanding role in a dynamic international Medical Device corporate organization which preferably should be based in the proximity of one of our sales offices in the DACH or BeNeLux region. In this role you will travel approx. 20 days p.a.

**About the role**:

- This Demand Planning position is responsible for all _forecasting activities_ associated with products and customers; creates and maintains demand forecast models for their products and customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from _sales, marketing, finance, contract and tender teams and other sources_.
- The Demand Planner is _the integration point into the commercial organization_.
- This position _leads the dialogue_ each month for their respective products with key counterparts in Sales and Marketing.
- _Coach, support and inspire the regional demand planning team of 3_ to secure continuous organizational development and a stimulating working environment throughout the regionally dispersed team

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons and execute product demand plans.
- Review historical sales trends, search for demand drivers, prepare forecast data, utilize statistical forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
- Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions based on demand patterns and business trends.
- Coordinate cross-functional investigation activities to reconcile significant demand variances and improve the forecast model to reflect updated sales assumptions.
- Interact with sales, marketing and finance to understand demand forecast drivers and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
- Work with customers, sales and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
- Maintain the demand planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.
- Provide input to the Supply Chain Planning (SCP) organization in developing solutions to safeguard best possible product availability to improve customer experience.
- Create jointly with SCP options (scenarios) on matching unconstrained and constraint forecast for existing products, new product launches and product phase-in / phase-out.
- Maintain jointly with SCP inventory and safety stock levels for finished goods based on future estimated customer demands.
- Maintain demand plan to meet customer demands in an (cost) effective way
- Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply together with SCP.
- Closely coordinate and communicate action plans jointly with SCP in case of unmatched demand / any supply constraints.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation activities for supply constraints.
- Mentor and train other planners and stakeholder as needed.
- Ensure that the regional demand team are equipped to manage our process and build capability across the organisation by training the teams as required

**Your profile**:

- Strong demand planning and/or supply planning experience
- Exposure to leading Sales & Operations Planning and monthly forecast cycles
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
- Expert understanding of the impact of forecast changes to the business with a strong focus on both volume and value in analysis
- Knowledge of SAP/APO or other software related to demand planning is preferred.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Experienced user of other software packages including Windows, and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Good facilitation skills are required.
- Strong communication skills.
- A strong desire to impact the business through data-science techniques
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet required deadlines
- Previous people supervisory experience is desirable
- Experience working for leading technology consulting companies (desirable)
- A business degree (MBA, BBA) or technical degree (Engineering, MCA) or equivalent
- Min. 3-5 years professional experience in Data Analytics and mathematical modelling
- High proficiency in English language and ideally good knowledge of German language
