**Job description**:
Veterinary Practice Aan De Watergang is looking for an experienced and motivated veterinarian with specialization, or in the final stage of specialization, in equine reproduction. As a specialist within our team, you will play a crucial role throughout the entire reproduction process.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Artificial Insemination (AI)**:

- Monitoring the ovulation process and determining the optimal insemination timing.
- Inseminating mares with fresh, chilled, or frozen semen.
- ** Embryo transfer**:

- Flushing embryos from the donor mare.
- Evaluating and preparing embryos for transfer.
- Transferring embryos to recipient mares.
- Providing post-transfer care and monitoring recipient mares.
- ** Diagnostics and Treatment**:

- Conducting reproductive examinantions.
- Diagnosing and treating fertility issues in stallions and mares.
- ** Guidance and Advice**:

- Advising horse owners and breeders.
- Providing information on the newest techniques and developments in reproductive medicine.
- ** Documentation and Administration**:

- Maintaining accurate patient records, insemination logs, and embryo transfer reports.
- Reporting diagnostic findings and treatment plans.
- ** Semen collection**:

- Collecting semen from stallions and preparing for shipping.
- Freezing semen.

**Who we are looking for?**:

- You have a **degree in Veterinary Medicine with a specialization, or in the final stages of specialization, in reproductive medicine**.
- You have **experience with artificial insemination and embryo transfer in horses**.
- You possess excellent diagnostic skills and have knowledge of ultrasound.
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- You are flexible and willing to work outside regular hours when necessary.
- You have a Category B driver’s license.
