**The **Opportunity**:
Overall management co-ordination and responsibility for the day to day operational management of the Avantor Services team on our customer’ site.
Avantor is seeking a motivated **Senior Supervisor - J&J** to join our team in Beerse. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customer, taking full responsibility for overseeing and leading the CPDS and Early R&D departments. Your goal will be to ensure smooth and efficient operations while consistently exceeding customer expectations. Additionally, you will support the on-site manager and step in as deputy during their absence.

This is a full-time hybrid position, based at the J&J site in Beerse. While the majority of your time will be spent onsite, you will have the flexibility to work from home one day per week. Occasional travel to customer locations within Belgium may also be required. **Working Hours**:Monday - Friday, with flexible start times between 07:30 and 09:00, and finish time starting from 16:00.

**The Team**

You are responsible for a team of 8 associates reporting directly into you. You’ll closely collaborate with the onsite manager and together with your team and colleagues, you belong to our department Lab and Production Services. This division of Avantor supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

**What We’re Looking For**
- ** Education**: Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field, or equivalent experience
- ** Experience**: Prior experience in the Chemistry or Life Sciences industry is preferred. People management experience is a plus
- ** Preferred Qualifications**:

- Strong skills in MS Office Package are required
- Effective and fluent communication skills in both English and Dutch. French is a plus.
- Knowledge of scientific activities is a strong asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communicator and organizer with an eye for detail
- Customer-centric and highly motivated to take a team to the next level
- Customer service background is preferred
- Perseverant, structured and diplomatic

- Lead and mentor a diverse team across logistics, technical, and scientific functions
- Provide direct support to the on-site manager and act as deputy during their absence
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to support various projects
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring efficient communication with Avantor's back office
- Act as a technical expert to assist our customer in achieving regulatory compliance (GMP, equipment validation, SOP reviews)
- Regularly meet with stakeholders to review services and explore new opportunities
- Drive innovation and sustainability efforts to meet the client’s targets
