Janssen Pharmaceutica is part of Johnson & Johnson and is responsible for bringing innovative medicines to patients throughout the world.
Within our department Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) we are looking for a Manager Laboratory Services at the Beerse site.
The mission of E&PS is to run the infrastructure lifecycle in a reliable, sustainable and efficient way, build an attractive workplace experience and share knowledge and expertise in the global Facilities organization.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Your main responsibility is to drive the safe and efficient service delivery of the integrated Laboratory Services management program with focus on the different J&J sites in Belgium. The Lab services program consists of 3 different pillars: Lab Instrument Services (ELIS), Lab Supplies & Consumables and Lab Support & Services.

**Strategy & Leading**
- Contribute to the delivery of the Lab Services strategy on the local Campus in line with the Global Lab Services strategy
- Drive the long-term improvement plans with suppliers CBRE, Avantor and business partners
- Lead for local governance and project management for the preferred suppliers
- Drive robust safety requirements and laboratory standards for GLP, GCP and GMP compliance within established lab programs as appropriate for each functional area

**Act as a spokesperson regarding commissioning & qualification during inspections**
- Supplier and performance management
- Support and review periodic updates on program results and solicit feedback on program performance with a focus on continuous improvement, cost savings and scalability
- Perform functional area - supplier evaluation and improve the program upon campus-wide local needs
- Create and communicate metrics to gauge success and track performance for portfolios of lab programs
- Accountability for operational Campus budget proposals, driving cost reduction and cost efficiencies
- Lead the J&J Asset Redeployment Management Program by identifying non-used equipment, providing process guidance for site and supplier level involvement, and help coordinate placing of equipment on asset redeployment network EquipNet

**Customer management**
- Develop robust customer relations with key laboratory and procurement managers by gaining and maintaining the respect of the scientific community through engagement
- Meet regularly with concerned partners to review lab service governance, new opportunities and performance metrics
- Collaborate with local business partners and suppliers to ensure flawless delivery of lab services and leverage opportunities where appropriate

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
You have a master degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience, with affinity for life sciences.

**Experience and Skills**:

**Required**:
Proven track record within a technical or Research/Lab environment including safety and quality critical technical expertise.

**Preferred**:

- Getting energized from working with people, building a common working platform and close teamwork
- Being flexible, eager to learn and responsive to shifting priorities when needed
- Being an excellent communicator, able to communicate to management as well as your colleagues / partners
- Knowledge of CMMS system (SAP, eStream,...)

**Other**:
