**Internship description**
The main task of the intern will be to assist with finding, reviewing and summarising available national data across different EU countries on:
- cycling networks (cycle infrastructure, cycle routes),
- cycle usage data (cycling mode share, counting data),
- road safety data.
The intern will also have the opportunity to experience wider policy and project work at ECF.
We offer a **full-time, 6-month internship** paid €1,035 monthly. This is a professional internship agreement, according to Belgian law, called _Convention d’immersion professionnelle_ (FR) or _Beroepsinlevingsovereenkomst_ (NL). It includes a clear description of the tasks and the expected competences acquired by the end of the internship.
- have a basic understanding of cycle infrastructure terminology,
- be able to open and understand the structure of GIS datasets in different formats (for example: ESRI shapefiles, geopackages, geoJSON, CSV),
- have a good command of spoken and written English,
- be able to use machine translation to find information on a website or in a document in a foreign language,
- be organised.
