(a) The Position
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) is responsible for business requirements documentation and project management to enable IT and project teams to develop high-quality solutions.
The primary objective is to partner and collaborate with business and technical teams to capture business processes, application, and analytical requirements, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
The SBSA also plays the role of a change leader to identify new opportunities and improve business and system processes.
(b) Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
Six years or more experience in business information system requirement analysis and IT-related project management.
Strong technical knowledge in:
Case management systems
Business process-related system implementation
Web-based solutions
Cloud-based technologies
Document management systems
Data analytics platforms
Microservices architecture
Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good command of spoken English and Chinese.
Experience in project and quality management.
Competent in methodologies such as PMP and Agile, and standards such as ISO.
Experience in programming or scripting languages like Java and Python is an advantage.
Ability to work independently or collaboratively with project teams.
Proactive, confident, and self-driven.
(c) Responsibilities
Determine organisational and operational objectives by:
Conducting business impact analysis
Capturing and documenting requirements
Evaluating and designing technical solutions
Assisting in change management activities
Participate in and manage projects by identifying milestones, forming project teams, tracking activities, monitoring resources, resolving issues, and managing deliverables.
Perform quality assurance activities and prepare end-user training materials and user guides.
Conduct user briefing sessions as part of change management initiatives.
Provide technical consultancy to IT teams and business users by staying updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Contribute to team efforts by providing daily user support and training, promoting IT strategy and organisational roadmaps, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Assist with administrative tasks such as procurement, vendor management, contract management, budgeting, and funding.
Provide hotline support to external participants for the SFC's electronic submission services.
