Functional Analyst

Optimile is a leading software company specializing in digital solutions for the electric vehicle (EV) charging industry. Our innovative platforms empower Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver seamless and efficient EV charging experiences. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a driven and experienced Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our solutions are functional, user-friendly, and aligned with our strategic product vision.

**Your Role**

As a Functional Analyst, you will be a cornerstone of our product team. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications, supporting the entire product lifecycle from discovery to go-to-market.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end functional analysis process for our software products.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and other stakeholders.
- Gather complex business requirements and technical constraints, and translate them into clear roadmaps and functional specifications (including dependencies).
- Stay on top of market trends and technological evolutions in the EV charging and mobility space.
- Contribute to the discovery phase and support the development of business cases with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Stay involved throughout the development and testing phases to ensure your specifications are implemented accurately and effectively.
- Provide input to developers, support go-to-market efforts, and maintain clear documentation throughout.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Minimum 3+ years in functional analysis that include at least 2 years of coaching other functional analysts. Experience should not be limited to business analysis. Functional analysis including close collaborations with developers/ architects is required.
- A critical and analytical mindset with the confidence to challenge assumptions, product visions, and proposed solutions constructively.
- A strong communicator who enjoys sharing knowledge and mentoring other analysts.
- Experience working in Agile environments, while recognizing the value of structured methodologies.
- The ability to understand and interpret data models, APIs, and integration patterns.
- A storyteller who can communicate a coherent narrative to a variety of stakeholders (sales, product, developers, testers, etc.).
- A true team player who is motivated by collaboration and shared goals.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
