**Job Summary**
The Industry Manager is a thought leader who performs independently and has demonstrated the ability to effectively interact and influence OEMs, customers, peers and the next level up in organizations. This leader makes decisions with confidence and is an ambitious driver for change and growth. This person enjoys and excels in establishing relationships with stakeholders in the industry such as customers, suppliers and governing bodies.
The Industry Manager role reports into the Senior Marketing Manager, Specialty Engineered Materials - EMEA.
**Essential Functions**
- Manage the Healthcare Strategic roadmap which includes the 4Ps ( Product, Partner, Value proposition, Promotion)
- Engagement of customers and the business leveraging key tools such as situational analysis, sales & marketing plans, New Product Development and Commercialization processes, EVE tools, marcom resources, effective product launch kits, etc.
- Develop productive industry relationships with key customers, industry governing bodies, suppliers and internal Avient stakeholders
- Coordinates product promotion, technical presentations, and advertising through product management and marketing communications.
- Remain knowledgeable on industry and technology changes, market conditions, requirements and opportunities
- Support Global HC Industry strategies through active collaboration and engagement
- Responsible for high level of communication for new development activities with regional technology, sales, business development and global partners to ensure smooth transition of strategy to action
- Ensure full compliance of products and processes with regulations and standards
- Drives measurement and tracking activities including campaigns, market size, market share, and ROI
- Develop an active pipeline of M&A targets in order to drive growth
- Ensure positive coordination between Avient business units and regions regarding similar technologies and markets as well as shared customers
- Other duties as assigned
Travel requirements may be up to 40% of time to visit conferences, trade events, speaking engagements, Avient production locations as well as OEMs and customers.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical discipline
- Master’s Degree is a plus
- Strong marketing or commercial background
- Strong Healthcare | Pharmaceutical industry experience ( 5 years minimum)
- Experience in thermoplastic solutions or specialty materials industry desired
- At least 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, profitability or business development

- Demonstrated leadership across disciplines to execute growth strategies, identify M&A opportunities and profitability improvements
- Ability to work efficiently and cross-functionally in a rapidly-changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance targets.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to engage with and present to all levels within the organization
