The Belgian Federal Agency for Nuclear Control (FANC) delegates to Bel V regulatory missions of inspections and assessments of the major nuclear installations in Belgium. In our capacity of Technical Safety Organization, we also offer safety assessments and inspections to support foreign nuclear safety authorities. In order to strengthen its teams, Bel V is looking for a **Branch Manager "I&C, Electrical Systems & Qualification”** who is responsible for the overall coordination and coherence of all review and assessment activities performed in the expertise domains covered by the branch**:Instrumentation & Control, Safety critical software, Electrical systems and Environmental & seismic qualification of electrical and I&C equipment**. **Function**: The **Branch Manager "I&C, Electrical Systems & Qualification”** is a Mid-management position, reporting to the Director Safety Assessment. The Branch Manager - **leads** the team with objectivity, openness and fairness, promotes team work ; - is **accountable** for the **outcomes** of the Branch: - ensures that these outcomes (reviews & assessments, contribution to inspection activities & reports ) are produced in time and with the expected quality; - ensures the overall coordination and coherence of the activities of the Branch; - ensures competence management for the team. - **participates** in the **management** of Bel V: - contributes to the definition of the general objectives of Bel V for the oversight in Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection, within the framework of the applicable requirements and regulations; translates this to team objectives and priorities; - contributes to the development and implementation of Bel V’s strategic initiatives; - contributes to the development and evaluation of Bel V processes. - **contributes** to the reviews & assessments in main areas of expertise of the Branch. **Profile**: - **Education**: Civil Engineer in Physics, Nuclear sciences, Mechanics, Electricity, Chemistry, Construction, Computer science, Geology, or Master or PhD in Sciences, Physics, Chemistry - Meet the requirements for a **security** **clearance** delivered by the “Autorité nationale de sécurité / Nationale veiligheidsoverheid”. - Appropriate **knowledge** of all expertise domains of the Branch, with a **multidisciplinary** view; Outstanding technical credibility. - Member of **mid**-**management** with a confidential role, with a strong focus on achieving and meeting objectives within agreed deadlines. - Native language is Dutch or French, with excellent knowledge of the other national language.
