RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the use of technical equipment for embroidery, engraving and framing for the realisation of articles for Arts & Crafts and all production ordered by the customers. The incumbent will have a very good technical skills to manipulate this equipment in good and safe conditions. Additionally, the incumbent will provide front desk service to customers to promote activity sales and ensure professional advice to customers. The function will also be required to carry out administrative duties as detailed in the major duties. MAJOR DUTIES: Embroidery Machine
- Duties:
- Operate the embroidery machine and associated software.
- Follow the digitising process.
- Serve as expert advisor to customers with regards to orders.
- Liaise with suppliers to guarantee stock, software updates, and machine maintenance.
- Cover embroidery duties in the absence of the SHAPE Member Dependent (SMD) employee. Frame shop
- duties:
- Operate the WIZARD Model 9000 Mat Design machine, the Fletcher glass cutting machine, the Morso frame cutting machine, the Cassese frame assembling machine (lifting large sheets of glass onto the machine), and any further machines that may be procured for this shop.
- Create personalised projects, first manually and then on the computer.
- Advise customers by suggesting colours, designs and frame materials to ensure unique prodcuts and exceptional service.
- Measure and estimate the cost of each framing project.
- Assist the manager with ordering materials and recording invoices in the computer system.
- Perform stock calculations for inventory, check prices and make adjustments as necessary.
- Monitor stock levels as required by supervisor. Engraving
- duties:
- Operate the GRAVOGRAPH LS 900XP laser engraver for wood and glass engraving and the GRAVOGRAPH IS 400 for brass plaques, the Gravostyle software, and any engraving machine that may be acquired in the future.
- Cover engraving duties in the absence of the SMD employee.
- Control the stock of materials and, with the approval of the management, order brass, ink, and other supplies. Sublimation
- duties:
- Design and produce sublimation projects on T-shirts, bags, and mugs as required by supervisor or customers.
- Order supplies as needed. Administrative duties:
- Manage front desk operations, including the Mercator computer system, payments, reconcilitation of Daily Activity Reports (DARs), cash counts, bank deposits, customer invoices and transfers between accounts.
- Operate the Navision system in the absence of the manager.
- Supervise the SMD staff in the absence of the Facility Manager. ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Participate in meetings organized with activities for projects or events.
- In the absence of the supervisor, ensure the accomplishment of the administrative tasks and complaint resolution, to include customer reimbursements.
- Temporarily replace individuals assigend to posts with similar administrative functions within Morale and Welfare Branch to ensure the continuity of service.
- Other duties as required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Attend training and courses as directed for the function.
- Advanced knowledge of software required for the activity.
- Regular contact with internal and external customers.
- Respect of internal processes and directives.
- Respect of guidances and instructions provided by the supervisor.
- Knowledge of the MWB Structure & SHAPE Organization.
- Anticipate issues that may arise and propose solution to supervisor.
- Exhibit respectful behaviour with the customers in all circumstances. CHARACTERISTICS
- Use of technical equipment in the respect of safety measures as per instructed in the operating manual.
- Able to multi-tasking and be flexible when required to manage projects across different shops.
