**Description of the function
**We are looking for an accountant to support our finance team. You will be part of a team responsible for the company's finances and operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting and bookkeepers
- Participate in financial reporting and budget preparation
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures
- Manages all the operating and day to day tasks
- Assistant in preparation of payments
- Assisting in the preparation of annual audit

**Profile description
Required
- Minimum Bachelor degree in financial & economics or relevant field or relevant vocational training (min 3 years experience)
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- In-depth understanding of Belgian GAAP accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English

Preferred
- Experience working with Odoo software
- Working experience in Africa, Asia or America is a plus
- Working experience in a small fast-growing company is a plus
