The Groot-Bijgaarden HSE/Quality Coördinator is responsible for health, safety, environmental and quality programs and their related activities. This HSE/Quality coördinator will be responsible to ensure compliance with all Flowserve programs as well as local regulatory requirements and to establish local site standards. The position will also help drive continuous improvement projects to support the business needs.
**You will be involved in the following tasks**:
**_ HSE_**
- Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.
- Provide daily guidance and direction in HSE programs at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.
- Report on regular basis HSE matters to the Company including conference calls.
- Organize HSE committee frequently to inspection, meeting, risk assessment, plan and implement corrective or preventative actions, and follows up to ensure implementation
- Responsible for planning and implement HSE policy and procedure in compliance with local regulations and Flowserve global HSE policy and procedures.
- Coordinate the site roadmap on the Flowserve Safety maturity scale.
- Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures.
- Coordinate the site development on the Flowserve Safety maturity scale.
- Review accidents and incidents and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.
- Plan and implement programs to train all employees on HSE practices, fire prevention, hazards, special equipment management
- Work with other department employees to identify HSE risk and notify in whole company. Provides HSE signs, posters, PPE required, etc Lead the Emergency Response Team and comply with all Company policies and procedures.
**_ Quality_**
- Develop policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 family of standards), quality audits/review.
- Claims management: coordinate the handling and closing of customer and supplier recorded defects and claims through RCA and DMAIC.
- Develop and implement Quality KPI’s to work towards zero defects.
- Responsible for the site inspection tools database and calibration program.
- Develop manufacturing tools, systems and processes designed to minimize waste, improve quality and enhance throughput
- Participate in and coordinate problem solving activities at the plant floor level. Support as necessary process changes and implementation plans to resolve ergonomic issues.
**You are the ideal colleague if you have**:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience.
- Understanding of metal manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of ISO standards.
- Experience with manufacturing environment safety programs.
- Knowledge/experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S is a plus
- Knowledge of information technology tools including Windows, Microsoft Office products and other related tools.
- Proficient in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP system
- Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external.
