Job Type
: Full-time, 4 days in the Plant I 1 day flexible Shift + Hours: Standard business hours; flexibility for global collaboration How You’ll Make an Impact As Process Technology Specialist, you are at the forefront of innovation in Lubrizol’s Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) manufacturing, driving breakthrough technologies that deliver step‑change improvements in performance, quality, and competitiveness. You will collaborate with global, cross‑functional teams to advance process and product technology, accelerate scale‑up, and strengthen Lubrizol’s long‑term manufacturing capabilities. In this role, you will:
- Identify, benchmark, and develop Most Effective Technologies (MET) that advance the technological frontier of TPU manufacturing.
- Create and execute forward‑looking technology roadmaps that close competitive gaps and unlock measurable value.
- Lead transformative improvements to existing processes using advanced problem‑solving, statistical modeling, and systems‑level thinking.
- Support new product scale‑ups through structured experimentation and pilot trials that improve manufacturability and speed‑to‑market.
- Act as Global Subject Matter Expert (SME) contributing to next‑generation Non‑Halogenated Fire‑Retardant (NHFR) TPU technology for the wire and cable market.
- Lead the process technology landscape during Manufacturing Authorization to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient scale‑up of new products and processes.
- Develop high‑quality technical documentation that captures learning, enables knowledge transfer, and supports long‑term capability growth across Lubrizol’s global network. Required Qualifications That Enable Your Success
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or specialty polymer processing technologies.
- Proven experience in digitalization, statistical modeling, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience in scale‑up activities, pilot plants, or manufacturing start‑ups.
- Strong experience in design, data analysis, and advanced problem‑solving methodologies.
- Proven record in collaborating effectively with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels of the organization in English. Any other European language is a plus.
