**Junior Data Scientist Chemometrics**

We are currently looking to hire a Junior Data Scientist Chemometrics who will work on delivering a model that is capable of predicting the behaviour of flavour compounds in both food and non-food products.

You will deliver a model capable of predicting behaviour of a molecule with high accuracy (e.g. partition coefficient).

As a Junior Data Scientist Chemometrics, you will have the following responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:
You set up of experiments in the lab to collect new data (e.g. concentration of molecules in the air)You develop a chemometric model that is predictive for new molecules, based on the collected dataYou are in charge of increasing the accuracy of the chemometric modelsYou are responsible for growing the quality and quantity of our flavour database exponentiallyYou test new chemical analytical instrumentation, sensors and arrays
- You develop new models for aroma and taste extraction from high throughput analytical data

Who are you?Minimum a Master’s Degree, preferably in chemistry or bio-engineering (or Physics, Statistics with experience in chemistry)You have experience in chemometrics or -informatics.You have a first experience with industry-standard python packages numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas, keras, matplotlib/plotly.You are willing to learn more about Python and have an interest in training and validation of machine learning modelsYou have knowledge in statistics (parametric and non-parametric tests, regression techniques) and common data analysis techniques like PCA and hierarchical clustering.
- You possess affinity for software and algorithm development.

Bonus points for:
Experience with Google Cloud Platform.Experience with industry standard SQL or noSQl database technologies.Experience with aroma and taste analysis.
- Interest in physicochemistry, oral and nasal (bio)chemistry.
