Hasselt Work Office You are part of the ICT Applications Market Operation department in Hasselt, and together with your colleagues, you are responsible for analyzing new or changing business functionalities and operational issues. PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES **Context**: You will be immediately deployed as a system administrator in the (Digital Market Operation) program. The approach in this program is Agile, and the team operates in a Scrum We are looking for an all-round system engineer with knowledge of and a broad interest in not only databases, server management, or networking, but also all of the above. Preferably, you have experience with large data volumes/streams, performance optimization, and monitoring (Dynatrace). This is in a context where we use tools such as Jenkins, Kafka, Docker (Swarms), Ansible, Linux, Oracle Exadata, CassandraDB, and more. **Business Context**: The increasing use of digital meters as true smart meters. The accelerated rollout of digital meters The growing need for data platforms to effectively handle large amounts of data (including quarter-hour values). EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SOFT SKILL REQUIREMENTS Hard Skills Demonstrable experience as a System Administrator in a similar assignment. Demonstrable experience with ICT infrastructure solutions. Demonstrable experience at the system engineering level, in at least one of the specialized systems: Unix/Linux/Windows systems. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of storage and backup solutions. Demonstrable experience in a comparable business context (number of users > 1500). Soft Skills Autonomous You are hands-on with a 'can do attitude'.
