Project developers, city councils, or governments commission Congé to breathe new life into overlooked areas in the city. Depending on the dynamics and needs of the building or neighborhood, a theme is chosen with the hospitality experience at its core. Visitors have easy access to current topics, from the circular economy to Flemish masters. Each time, the audience gains a new perspective, never preachy, always enriching.

Our in-house marketing team excels at making seemingly mundane topics appear sexy. The visitor undergoes a behavioral change. The city becomes a new destination, with buildings or neighborhoods transformed into thriving and vibrant hotspots

We are looking for an individual who possesses a strong forward thinking, intuitive attitude, excellent people skills, and a hands-on, solution-oriented approach. Given that this is a brand new project, the first six months will present various challenges as we establish ourselves in the industry.

This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively run the expo operations and ensure a seamless and engaging experience for our guests.

**Responsibilities**:

- _**Expo Operations**:_Take full responsibility for the successful execution of the exhibition, from opening to closing the venue each day. Ensure that all operational aspects, including setup, maintenance, and tear-down, are efficiently managed.
- _**Technical Issue Resolution**:_Address any technical issues that may arise during the exhibition, such as equipment malfunctions or audiovisual problems. Collaborate with technical staff or external vendors to promptly resolve these issues and minimize disruption.
- _**Student Training**:_Provide training and guidance to students involved in the exhibition, ensuring they are well-prepared and knowledgeable about the displays, or interactive elements. create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the students.
- _**Shop Management**:_Oversee the operation of the exhibition shop, including inventory management, sales tracking, and customer service. Ensure the shop is well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with the exhibition theme.
- _**Communication and Collaboration**:_Maintain strong communication within the team, creating open and transparent communication channels. Coordinate with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and smooth operation of the exhibition.
- _**Staff Planning**:_Assist with staff planning, including scheduling and assigning tasks to ensure adequate coverage during exhibition hours.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in exhibition management or related roles is strongly preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing technical issues and visitor concerns.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, partners, and external stakeholders. Fluency in Dutch is required.
- Experience in training and supervising teams, particularly students or volunteers, is desirable.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality experiences and maintaining an engaging exhibition environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
