Een Solution Architect definieert een end-to-end architectuur voor de initiatieven die binnen een tribe gedefinieerd worden. Hij/zij staat de Tribe Leads & Product Owners bij door (technische) alternatieven uit te werken om de doelen gelinkt aan deze initiatieven te realizeren, de business hypothese te valideren, etc. Hij/zij maakt de impact van kiezen voor elk van de voorgesteld opties concreet en stelt waar nodig business noden in vraag.

**VERANTWOORDELIJKHEDEN**
- Definieert end-to-end architectuur voor een initiatief. Werkt samen met andere architecten en met business stakeholders, de operationele teams en leveranciers om een gedragen oplossing uit te werken die hergebruik en cross-tribe alignment promoot.
- Adviseert de Tribe Lead and Product Owners over hoe een initiatief of epic best gerealiseerd kan worden, vanuit een technisch oogpunt. Helpt met het technisch uitwerken van een MVP-scope en het voorzien van een scale-up plan om tot een volwaardige, onderhoudbare oplossing te komen.
- Werkt verschillende technische alternatieven uit en verduidelijkt de gevolgen van een bepaalde keuze, zowel naar oplevertermijn, kost en onderhoudbaarheid maar ook in termen van functionaliteit & impact op het business proces.
- Verfijnt de architectuur op epic niveau: Valideert epics t.o.v. de definition of done en verzorgt de verdere uitwerking van deze epics, o.a. met het oog op het verzekeren van de non-functional requirements.
- Ontwikkelt een bedrijfs-brede langetermijnvisie over de toekomst van een applicatie
- en systeemdomein. Definieert welke capabilities nodig zijn, welke applicaties deze kunnen leveren en in welke mate modernisatie of rationalisatie nodig is. Vertaalt deze visie in een concreet plan in de vorm van een Architectural Runway.

**VEREISTEN**
- Ingenieur/Master in de Toegepaste Wetenschappen of Computerwetenschappen of gelijkwaardig door ervaring en 5 jaar relevante ervaring.
- Talenkennis: ENG, NL of FR
- Ervaring met het vertalen van business behoeften in technische oplossingen in een grote en complexe omgeving.
- Algemene kennis van de levenscyclus van systeem
- en softwareontwikkeling.
- Kennis van de Agile manier van werken (nice to have)
