Plant Controller

for our client, a global market leader in the food industry, we are looking for a Plant Controller

**Taken**:

- **Monthly financial reporting & analysis**
- Drive the monthly management reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting towards local Management and the Division office
- Perform variance analysis comparing actual performance to forecast, budget and prior year + communicate explanations to management with recommended actions
- Maintain and report Key Performance Indicators (financial, operations,...)
- Work closely with operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances.
- Inventory valuation
- Fixed costs follow-up
- CAPEX projects follow-up (actual spend vs. forecast/budget)
- Prepare divisional reporting (management report, capex, FTE,... )
- **Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Plan and coordinate the plant budget process and ensure a timely and accurate execution:

- Operational parameters (agro, capex & operations)
- Fixed costs budget
- Consolidation of plant budget: operations part + sales budget prepared by the commercial controller
- B/S + P&L
- Monitor the weekly/monthly financial outlook, escalate variances and trigger action plans. Maintain and improve forecast accuracy
- **Product costing**
- Daily costing analysis by using the automated costing tool
- Provide accurate cost price info to sales department
- Check and resolve master data issues
- Act as a business partner for several costing topics
- **Business Partnering**
- Interact with all levels and functional areas of the organization to obtain a key understanding of business drivers. Meet company objectives by pro-actively identifying risks and opportunities, providing actionable management information, challenging the business and following up on remediation and/or action plans
- Work closely with both local and divisional finance teams, act as a sparring partner of operations and supply
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems and carry out a culture and mindset of continuous improvement
- **Procedures and policies**
- Ensure compliance with divisional and corporate procedures
- **Projects**
- Participate in various cross-department projects

**Profiel**:

- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an industrial company
- Master’s degree in economics or equivalent
- Fluent in English and Dutch, other languages, especially French are an asset
- Strong business acumen
- Proven track record of business partnering
- Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of ERP (SAP) and experience with BI tools (QlikView)
- Strong drive, entrepreneurial and can-do attitude
- Analytical and conceptual skills bringing pragmatic and effective solutions
- Hands-on attitude and down to earth
- Self-starter, able to plan and prioritize
- Customer focused
