**What you will work on**:
The Functional Consultant will join a **(Ghent based)** **Project Team**, responsible for the **successful & timely implementation of the UMAX solution **at our customers’ premises in Europe.

UMAX is the brand name of our software solution for water and energy utilities. It automates their business processes and enables them to better engage with their customers. UMAX is a cloud-based solution, built on the powerful Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
- UMAX integrates CRM, billing, invoicing, cash collection, meter data, asset and service management modules in one solution, offering utilities the tools & processes for effective sales, increased customer contribution margins, reduced lead times and streamlined operations. By doing so, it enables them to take operational performance and customer experience to higher levels, while cutting costs to serve._

**As our Functional Consultant, you**:

- Key skills: cross-functional adaptability, adapting to diverse client needs, regulatory changes, and market shift
- Attend workshops & meetings with the customer onsite.
- Follow up on testing and guarantee quality of the solution.
- Contribute to the further evolution of the Itineris standard UMAX solution.
- Take ownership of the assigned modules in the project and interact with other team members (Functional Solution Architect, Developers, Testers ).
- Participate in the project progress meetings and proactively identify risk areas.
- Continuously develop and extend your knowledge within the Utility market, and transfer knowledge to other colleagues.

**What you bring**:

- **Strong analytical skills** (master’s degree): consultants must dissect complex financial information, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- At least 5-7 years’ experience e.g. as a Functional Consultant in **Finance/Accounting**:

- Skilled in identifying business requirements and can understand customers’ business processes.
- A strong interest in IT and is eager to learn about the Utilities market, the typical business processes etc.
- Attention to detail, working with numbers, accounts, and multiple clients demands precision
- Technical proficiency, **familiarity with financial software, spreadsheets, and tools**:

- Creative problem-solving skills: Finance consultants encounter diverse challenges
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in **Dutch and English**:effective & clear communication** bridges the gap between financial jargon and client understanding.
- A dynamic team player with true problem-solving mentality and willing to travel
- Hands-on, likes to take initiatives and is driven by quality.
