**Opdracht**:
Our Customer and Market Insights (CMI) Team does huge efforts to learn more about our customers’ behaviour and their requirements, by looking at the data that they share with us whilst shopping in our supermarkets. Their analyses result in valuable insights, enabling tailor-made information, promotions and actions for our precious clients.

**Verantwoordelijkheidsgebied**:
As a Data Scientist at Carrefour Belgium, you’ll be part of a small team that consists of great people, working closely together with 3 medior colleagues (3 to 4 years of experience) and a senior consultant Data Scientist. Day to day tasks and responsibilities will be among others:

- Development of ML/AI/DL solutions for our clients such as recommender systems, customer segmentation, churn modelling, etc.
- Translation of business needs into data requirements, creation of test scenarios (AB tests), presentation of results to stakeholders.
- Script standardization, optimization and testing in close collaboration with the DE’s.
- Occasional analyses of marketing campaigns.
- Recommendations to senior marketeers, category managers and top management.

**Profiel**:

- Approximately 2 years of experience in a similar or relevant role.
- Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or an education as an engineer or a related study.
- Knowledge in machine learning, AI, linear algebra, statistics and passionate about it.
- Experience with algorithms such as: linear/logistic regressions, random forests, neural networks, clustering, time-series, etc.
- Experience implementing solutions such as: recommender systems, next-best-offer/action, NLP, etc.
- Experience with DS libraries such as: Scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, Tensorflow, etc.
- Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, Scala or SQL.
- Familiar with DS platforms such as Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Databricks, Dataiku, etc.
