Microsoft Azure Information Protection

My client is looking for an experience Microsoft Information Protection SME with experience implementing and managing Microsoft protection solutions such as Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsift Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft Compliance Manager

**The role**

Microsoft Information Protection Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for providing expert knowledge and support in the implementation and management of Microsoft's data protection and compliance solutions. The role requires deep knowledge and expertise in Microsoft's protection technologies and products, as well as experience in developing and implementing data protection strategies in an enterprise environment. The position will require working closely with stakeholders from various departments, such as security, compliance, legal, and IT, to ensure that Microsoft protection solutions are implemented and managed effectively and are compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Within IT Services, you will join the Security Configuration Team hosted in the Centralized IT organization.

**Job responsibilities**:

- Provide expert knowledge and support in the implementation and management of Microsoft's data protection and compliance solutions, such as Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Compliance Manager.
- Work closely with stakeholders from various departments, such as security, compliance, legal, and IT, to ensure that Microsoft protection solutions are implemented and managed effectively and are compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement data protection strategies, policies, and procedures, in line with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and threat modelling to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
- Develop and implement data protection training and awareness programs for employees, to ensure that they are informed of data protection policies and procedures.
- Provide expert guidance and support to stakeholders on Microsoft protection solutions, including training, documentation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with other SMEs, project managers, and teams to ensure that data protection and compliance projects are integrated into overall organizational initiatives.

**Experience Required**:

- At least 5-7 years of experience in implementing and managing Microsoft protection solutions, such as Azure Information Protection, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Compliance Manager.
- Deep knowledge and expertise in data protection regulations, standards, and frameworks, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft protection solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from various departments.
- Expertise in PowerShell Scripting and automation

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate.

2 days per week remote work is possible with 3 days required onsite in Wilrijk Belgium.
