What is the project about?
As Business Controller for Customer Interactions (CID) and Customer Journey, Data & Digital (CJDD) Departments, you are responsible for the preparation of reporting, budgeting and forecasting, as well as business analysis activities within the assigned department. This provides the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with the right information at all times in relation to the profitability of (new) services and investment projects within its department; the explanations why certain result areas are going under or over budget/forecast. You also provide advice to change this
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring the correct content of budgets and forecasts in collaboration with the business
- Monthly closing and control of expenses and revenues: Ensuring that the accounting department has timely, correct and complete information on the activity areas of the department he/she controls
- Monitoring compliance with purchasing, ordering,... (financial) procedures.
- Preparing the analysis of the department's revenues and expenses, to advise the budget owners to maximize the efficiency of its activities and processes and optimize cash flow
- Point of contact for Project Managers for questions regarding actuals and administrative follow-up of the various projects
- Preparation of spreadsheet model for specific analyses
- Calculation of KPIs for review and input
- Back up for operational tasks during month end and forecast process

**Requirements**:
- 5 years of experience preferably in a controller position or operational internal audit
- You have a master’s degree in economics or engineering complemented by a financial education
- You are operationally oriented with a strong financial baggage and a pronounced multidisciplinary interest (sales, marketing, finance, operations)
- You have good synthetic and analytical skills
- You have knowledge of Dutch and English
- You have an affinity with financial systems (accounting, reporting)
- You have a strong knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
- A hands-on mentality is your trademark
- You are a team player
- You enjoy working in a rapidly changing business environment
- You are discrete and flexible and do not shy away from the more routine tasks (accruals, follow-up of purchase orders, use of correct booking codes,...).
