**_Bird & Bird's _**_firmly established_**_ corporate _**_practice_** _has grown significantly over the last few years, and we are looking to recruit a _**_senior associate _**_with good technical knowledge of, and experience in _**_corporate_**_ and ideally also _**_financial transactions and advice_**_._
**_About the team_**
Our Brussels-based corporate team advises on all forms of corporate transactions, structures, issues and disputes, both within Belgium and internationally. This not only includes mergers & acquisitions, but also private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, capital markets transactions, as well as establishing, changing, restructuring and winding-up companies and all aspects of their functioning.
Our team represents a variety of clients, from SMEs to large multinationals. As a result, we regularly advise on complex multi-jurisdictional matters. Our corporate team regularly work with colleagues around the world to advise clients on all international aspects.
**_The role_**
- You will work for a variety of domestic and international, large and smaller clients, and enjoy challenging, cutting-edge work ;
- You will be given responsibility and will have direct client contact from day one;
- You will work with experienced professionals, who are true experts in their field, and be encouraged to further develop your legal, business and interpersonal skills through continuous training and mentoring;
- You will be actively involved in and expected to participate to marketing and business development initiatives;
- You will be able to develop an in-depth understanding of Bird & Bird's key industry sectors, mainly in high-tech and regulated sectors; and
- You will receive an attractive remuneration package.
**_Your profile_**
- A strong academic background in Belgium, as well as ideally abroad;
- At least 5 years (and ideally more) of relevant professional experience;
- Strong analytical, reasoning and writing skills;
- Committed to delivering high-quality work;
- An excellent command of French, Dutch and English;
- A good team player, fitting in well with our open, entrepreneurial culture; and
- Interested and ideally some track-record in business development activities.
