We are seeking a Data Solution Architect to help bring our data strategy to life within a Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You'll play a pivotal role in translating a defined data strategy into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals while remaining hands-on in the design and delivery process.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of architecture and execution, and who brings a strong background in financial services, ideally banking, where data accuracy, compliance, and resilience are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement end-to-end data solutions on Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, and Purview.
Translate the company's strategic data vision into practical architectures and actionable delivery plans.
Build and optimize data pipelines, models, and integration frameworks to support analytics, AI, and reporting needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, BCBS 239).
Act as a hands-on technical leader, guiding engineering teams and ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Continuously assess emerging technologies to enhance our data platform and architecture standards.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience as a Data Solution Architect or Senior Data Engineer/Architect in the financial sector (banking experience preferred).
Strong expertise in the Azure data ecosystem, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, and related services.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakehouse, data mesh).
Experience implementing data governance, lineage, and security frameworks in regulated environments.
Hands-on technical ability combined with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD for data solutions is a plus.
