For the Ardena Business Unit based in Gent (Belgium), we are looking for an

**ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST ASEPTIC MANUFACTURING**

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

The main role of the Associate Scientist - Aseptic Manufacturing is to conduct small-scale GMP production (cleanroom) operations under the guidance of the Group Leader Aseptic Manufacturing, part of the Formulation and Production group.

As an Associate Scientist - Aseptic Manufacturing, you will be working in Ardena Gent’s brand new Fill & Finish Facility on aseptic manufacturing of e.g. sterile solutions. Activities mainly involve executing manual operations, such as filling and capping of vials using high-end equipment in an isolator.

In order to perform these GMP activities in line with the authority guidelines, you follow a detailed Batch Record Documentation (BRD) to execute this protocol step by step. Furthermore, you will always work in team of at least 2 Associate Scientists. In this role, following the BRD exactly as described is key and routine work is an important aspect of the job.

The ideal Associate Scientist - Aseptic Manufacturing for this role has a Bachelor Degree in a pharmaceutical field (e.g. FBT), with hands-on experience working in an aseptic environment (LAF cabinet or isolator).

**YOUR PROFILE LOOKS LIKE/ RESEMBLES**
- Bachelor’s Degree in pharmaceutical laboratory techniques or secondary school pharmaceutical assistant
- Hands-on experience, working in an aseptic environment (e.g. LAF cabinet or isolator) is highly desired
- Stress resistant and a “can-do” mentality
- An attention to detail while working accurate & precise
- Ability to both work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records and follow instructions
- Ability to follow procedures reliably and consistently and ability to recognize and escalate relevant issues as appropriate
- Good command of the English language
