Senior Treasury Manager

For the expansion of our Finance team, argenx is looking for a Senior Treasury Manager. This position will report to the Group Financial Controller.

Roles and responsibilities
- Treasury Strategy
- Ownership of development and implementation of the treasury strategy and objectives by means of respective guidelines / procedures, covering the future business growth and expansion
- Responsibility on ensuring efficient processing of the group’s treasury activities, ensuring compliance with policies by establishing standardized company-wide treasury processes, procedures and controls
- Responsibility on developing institutional relations with bank partners and suppliers to support business needs
- Support cross-functional projects either as a lead or as a business partner from a treasury perspective
- Advice the senior management across all areas in business planning, evaluation and strategy development from the point of view of treasury
- Treasury Operations
- Manage cash and liquidity management of the group (incl. daily cash position, cash pooling, FX spot, cash flow forecasts)
- Optimize group’s use of liquidity, including secure investment of excess liquidity and utilizing internal funds to meet group’s financial commitments
- Manage a small treasury team
- Manage the communication with the group’s bank partners on strategic as well as on operational topics (e.g., service quality and offering, administration of bank accounts and online banking tool, cash pooling, technology projects)
- Develop and implement risk strategy and related processes / methods to manage foreign exchange positions of the group as well as counterparty credit risk
- Work closely with accounting and tax to ensure accurate and tax compliant operations of group-internal transactions and processes
- Manage efficient processes and communication with the group’s legal entities and support their treasury activities
- Prepare reports on the cash position and cash flow forecasts as well as financial risks
- Treasury Technology
- Coordinate maintenance and further development of the group’s treasury IT infrastructure, including a treasury management system, interfaces and other treasury solutions that may become necessary due to business growth and expansion
- Coordinate relationship with IT vendors and argenx’ Business Information Systems team to assess potential requirements and needs regarding further development of the IT systems

- Proven working knowledge in and experience with treasury management systems, bank connectivity, cash pooling and in-house banking.
- Hands-on experience with daily treasury operations.
- Experience in writing internal policies and procedures and process evaluation and documentation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English

Education, experience and qualifications
- An education at university level is required (Accounting, Finance, Business or related areas) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate treasury at a multinational corporation, experience with treasury regulation such as SOX, EMIR is an advantage
- Relevant certifications are preferred: AMCT, CFA or equivalent
