Overview:
We are recruiting Director Government Affairs EU & DACH to help create EU and German regulatory environments that allow responsible FMCG companies to flourish sustainably.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor, report and help shape legislative and regulatory developments in the EU and Germany
- Provide regular policy updates and briefings on EU and German policy issues, for both internal executive and external audiences
- Design and implement government affairs strategies to manage regulatory risk and identify opportunities
- Build close relationships with key decision-makers through an effective stakeholder outreach programme
- Leverage EU and German trade associations; maintaining close links with key competitors and business partners to ensure associations are delivering against PepsiCo goals
- Work closely with communications, marketing, nutrition, procurement, sustainability and other colleagues when action at EU or DACH level is needed
- Develop and implement external engagement programmes for senior PepsiCo leaders

Qualifications:

- Deep policy experience of EU and German decision-making organisations and processes and an established network of contacts
- Fluent English and German, (with good working French a welcome addition)
- Established network of contacts in the EU institutions (Parliament, Commission, Perm Reps) and EU community (industry associations, NGOs etc.),
- Background in FMCG, retail environment a plus.
- Knowledge of politics, policies and actors influencing PepsiCo’s business
- Ability to succinctly summarize the key points of any issue, including possible impacts on PepsiCo, possible courses of action, and recommended positions to take
- Strong presentation skills; coming across as credible, authoritative, sympathetic to others’ positions
- Ideally a Master’s degree (EU affairs, Environmental affairs, Political Science, Law, Economics)
